SUMMARY

As Director of Brand Partnerships, you will be responsible for developing a fast-growing new business strategy and executing a plan to penetrate target accounts via an innovative sales approach. You will launch and lead an integrated sales team, whose main focus will be ideating, selling, negotiating and closing fully integrated experiential programs. In addition to managing the new business strategy, the Director of Brand Partnerships will work closely with leadership at our parent company, MSM Inc., to transform our combined service offerings and drive forward new opportunities to create value for our customers.

This position would be a great fit for an experienced leader with strong connections within the event industry, that thrives in helping diverse audiences tackle ambitious challenges and wants to help build our evolving agency.

Requirements

Principle Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with customers and present experiential solutions that will provide value and growth for the customer and Ex Shop.

  • Creation of new sales leads and revenue.

  • Follow up and execution on leads provided.

  • Enhance the results of ongoing lead generation and prospecting processes.

  • Conduct research on clients, targets and competitors in order to inform strategic planning.

  • Manage RFP process and oversee creation of proposal and presentation material.

  • Take ownership of project timelines, advising on necessary lead time and ensuring deadlines are met.

  • Conduct competitive intelligence research and leverage industry best practices/connections to recommend and facilitate innovative solutions, including refining existing programs and establishing new initiatives.

  • Provide weekly status reports pertaining to significant account activity performed.

  • Onboard talent to assist with new business initiatives


Required Qualifications & Skills: 

  • Undergraduate degree is required. 

  • Prior sales experience with a proven ability to serve as a “trusted advisor” to prospects and existing clients. 

  • Must have effective leadership skills, demonstrated experience with crafting RFP response and presentation development.

  • 7 or more years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is needed.

  • High energy, motivated, self-starter with entrepreneurial skills.

  • Must be able to meet deadlines and prioritize.

  • Multi-task oriented and takes initiative.

  • Excellent critical thinking, complex problem solving, and decision-making abilities.

  • Computer skills to include Microsoft Office applications, G-Suite and marketing tools.

  • Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, with individuals inside and outside the Company.

  • Works effectively and relates well with others.

  • Exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others and works to maintain constructive working relationships.

  • Must be able to accept constructive criticism.

  • Administration and management skills.

  • Strong deductive and inductive reasoning skills.

  • Ability to develop and execute strategic planning.
